Quick verdict. A sensible way for founders and non-coders to turn an idea into a live app, with a free plan to test it first. Credits are the limit to watch, because a published app also uses 25 credits every 30 days, and the quality of the apps it builds is the vendor's own claim.

What Is CodePal

CodePal (codepal.ai) calls itself an AI app builder for founders who want a product they can ship. You describe the product, CodePal plans it, writes the full-stack code, runs it in a live preview and publishes it to a live URL, all in the browser. Web apps are built with React, TypeScript, Vite and Tailwind CSS by default. When an app needs a backend, CodePal Cloud attaches a managed Supabase project with a Postgres database, authentication, file storage and edge functions. The older social image on the site describes it as an AI code generator, debugger and builder for 60+ languages.

Is CodePal Worth It: Our Verdict

Verdict. Worth trying on the free Starter plan if you want to test an app idea without writing code. Move to Standard only once you know how many credits a real project uses, and remember hosting a published app uses credits too.

We have not used CodePal, so this verdict comes from the official pages and not from our own tests.

Who Should Use CodePal And Who Skip

A good fit

  • Founders and non-coders testing a product idea
  • Developers who want a quick full-stack starting point
  • Small teams building internal tools and landing pages

Think twice

  • Anyone who needs a guaranteed refund
  • Teams that need a fixed stack other than React and Supabase
  • People who expect unlimited builds on a small credit pool

Is CodePal Legit And Safe

The site publishes terms and a privacy policy, uses Paddle for secure checkout, and offers a billing portal to cancel. Its cookie notice says it uses optional analytics and affiliate tracking. We cannot verify the quality or security of the apps it generates, so review generated code before you put payments or personal data on it, and keep secrets out of prompts.

What We Could Not Verify

  • How many credits a typical app build uses.
  • The quality, security and performance of generated apps.
  • Whether a monthly-billing price exists for Standard and Pro.
  • User reviews: we did not collect or quote any.
