Fireflies.ai is an AI meeting assistant. A bot, or a Chrome extension, records calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other tools. It transcribes them, writes summaries and action items, and lets you search past meetings and ask the AskFred assistant questions. Paid plans add video recording, AI apps such as Personal and Email Assistants, conversation analytics and integrations.

Is Fireflies.ai Legit And Safe
The site lists SOC 2 Type II and GDPR on every plan, ISO 42001, HIPAA and FERPA options on Enterprise, AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit, and says customer data is not used to train AI models. Customers keep ownership of their data, per the site.
A meeting bot records other people. The site says Fireflies joins only when invited or through your auto-record settings, and that participants can see when a recording is on. You are still responsible for telling attendees and for local recording and consent laws. Sign-in is by Google or Outlook only, and the bot reads your calendar. We have not used Fireflies.ai and have not checked its accuracy or security claims.
